Thingvellir National Park holds both historical and geological significance in Iceland. It is located approximately 40 kilometers northeast of Reykjavik and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park was the site of the Alþingi, the ancient Icelandic parliament, which was established in 930 AD and held sessions until 1798. Gullfoss Waterfall, also known as the “Golden Falls,” is located in the southwest of Iceland, along the Hvítá River. It is one of the country’s most famous and spectacular waterfalls.
